Catagories of Membership

Membership of the Association of Painting Craft Teachers

 Applications for all classes of membership must be proposed and seconded by fully paid-up members of the
Association and put before the Executive Committee.
 All membership applications shall be ratified at the next General Meeting.
 
Full Members Will be full time or part time teachers of Painting and Decorating
  Hold a City and Guilds Advanced Craft or S/NVQ Level 3
  qualification in Painting and Decorating.
  Shall be entitled to nominate, vote and hold any office. Applicants
  who are unable to provide a seconder will be required to attend
  two Association meetings in order to generate a seconder.
  Applicants who are unable to provide a proposer and seconder
  will be required to attend three Association meetings in order to
  generate a proposer and a seconder.
 
Affiliated Members Persons who, through their occupation, have a keen interest in the
  teaching of Painting and Decorating.
  Approval of Affiliated Members will be at the discretion of the
  Executive Committee and ratified at the next General Meeting.
  Affiliated members shall not be entitled to hold office as President,
  National or Area Secretary , but shall be allowed to nominate and vote.
 
Honorary  Members Members who have retired from full time teaching and have been
  members of the Association for twenty years or more.
 
Centre Membership Centre Membership is open to all Centres and Colleges providing education
  and training in Painting Decorating.
  Each centre is allowed up to three members of staff either full time or part time.
  Each member of staff must be named on the application form.
  Each member of staff named on the application form will receive
  correspondence from the Association including the Artisan, the
  Associations magazine.
  Centre members are not entitled to nominate or vote nor are they permitted
  to hold office in the Association.
  Centre members may transfer to full individual membership of the Association
  on payment of the full individual annual fee.
  Centre members may attend any event organised by the Association.
  If an attendance fee is required at an event organised by the Association
  the member attending is responsible for paying such fee.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions Subscriptions for both Full and Affiliated membership is £50 per
  annum and is due in full on Ist January each year.
  There is a joining fee of £35.
  The preferred methods of subscription payment are by standing order or bankers order.
  Failure to pay the subscription in full by 31st January will incur a
  fine of £5.00. Members failing to pay the subscription and fine by
  31st March, will be advised that unless payment is recieved by
  the AGM they will be expelled from the Association
