DVDs for the Student Craftsperson
The APCT is currently in negotiations to produce a range of professionally produced DVDs on decorative painted finishes. Called the Master Class Series each DVD will feature a different finish, painted effect or painted process.At this moment in time Robert Woodland, Roger Seamark, John Fleming, Stewart McDonald, Cecil Seale, Terry Taylor, David Wilson, Walter Riley, Jon Gibbs, Paul Bailey and Ron Gordon have been approached and many have agreed that they will be involved in the project.
Painted effects such as transfer guilding, loose leaf guilding, Porter marble, Vert de Mer, Carrara, Vert Antique, Sienna, English Oak, Feathered Mahogany, Mohagany Heartwood, Birds Eye Maple, resist painting and multi-plate stencilling will be included in the series. Aimed at the student market, each DVD will discuss in simple terms the tools, materials and processes of each painted finish.
Filming should start in August 2007.
